Frequently asked questions
Everything you’ve wanted to ask about buying your own gear and having it installed. Don’t see your question? Ask us.
General
Will you really install equipment I bought myself?
Yes, that’s our whole model. As long as the gear is suitable for your space, we’ll install it. Send it to us for a free gear check before you buy so we can catch any issues early.
What if the equipment I bought is defective?
We test everything during install. If a TV or device is defective, we’ll document it and help you start a return or warranty claim with the retailer or manufacturer. Because you bought it, the warranty is yours directly.
Are you insured?
Yes. We carry general liability insurance and can provide a certificate of insurance for your landlord, property manager or venue.
Do you do electrical work?
We do low-voltage work (TVs, network, audio, signage) and use code-compliant in-wall power kits. New outlets or circuits are handled by a licensed electrician, which we can coordinate for you.
Can you install after hours?
Yes. Before-open, after-close, overnight and weekend appointments are a big part of our restaurant, bar and venue work.
Digital signage
Do I need a monthly subscription for digital menu boards?
No. Menu boards can run from a player you own with no monthly fee. Cloud signage apps are optional and useful if you want to update screens remotely or manage several locations.
Can I use regular TVs for digital signage?
Often, yes. Consumer TVs work well for many indoor menu boards running normal business hours. For screens in direct sunlight, running 24/7, or in portrait orientation, a commercial display is usually the better long-term choice. Check warranty terms either way; we’ll help.
Will you create the content for my screens?
We’ll load your menus, photos and promos into clean templates and set up schedules. For custom branded design, we can work with your designer or recommend one.
TVs & mounting
Can you hide the cables?
Yes. We use in-wall concealment kits on drywall, or paintable raceway on brick, concrete and other surfaces where in-wall isn’t possible.
Can you mount TVs on brick, stone or metal studs?
Yes, with the right anchors for each surface. Tell us the wall type in your quote request (or send a photo) so we bring the right hardware.
Do you mount TVs outdoors?
Yes, on covered patios with weather-resistant mounts. For direct sun or exposed areas we recommend outdoor-rated TVs.
Wi-Fi & IT support
Why does our Wi-Fi slow down when it’s busy?
Usually because one router is serving guests, staff, POS and screens all at once. Separate networks and properly placed access points fix most of it.
Do you offer ongoing IT support?
Yes, on demand or with a simple monthly check-in plan for small businesses. No long-term contracts.
Can you help with home tech too?
Absolutely: home Wi-Fi, computers, printers, smart TVs, home theaters and home offices.
Pricing
How much does TV mounting cost?
Home TV mounting starts at $129 for TVs up to 64″ and $169 for 65″ and up. Commercial mounts start at $149 per screen with volume pricing. See our pricing page for details.
How much can I save by buying my own TVs?
It varies, but businesses commonly save 40–60% on a multi-screen project compared with a turnkey AV quote, mostly from avoiding equipment markup and signage subscriptions.
Do you charge for quotes or gear checks?
No. Gear checks and quotes from photos are free. If a site visit is needed for a large project, we’ll tell you up front.
